Orchestral Auditions
Dear Orchestral Applicant,
Thank you for expressing interest in the orchestral openings for FFRCC’s upcoming concerts.
We are currently accepting applications for America, Know Thyself! which takes place December 16, 2026 at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
The application for these positions can be completed and submitted electronically by the form at the bottom of this page. The deadline for consideration is October 31, 2026. Any submission received after the deadline will not be considered.
It is assumed that any applicant for this position will accept if it is offered. If you will not accept it, please do not participate in this audition process.

Audition Content
Please submit one unedited video containing the following in order:
1. Introduction
Please state your name and instrument.
2. Solo Performance (1–2 minutes)
Perform approximately 1–2 minutes of solo unaccompanied repertoire that best represents your playing.
3. Required Orchestral Excerpts
Please perform all excerpts for your instrument in the order they are presented. The packets can be downloaded in the Excerpts section.
Observe all printed dynamics, articulations, tempi, and repeats unless otherwise indicated.
Video Format
Submit one continuous, unedited video. If you need to crop silent spots to reduce the file size, that’s OK.
Record in landscape orientation.
Position the camera so that both the performer and the entire instrument (including the bow) remain visible throughout.
Audio should be recorded without artificial reverb, processing, editing, or enhancement.
Please ensure adequate lighting and a quiet recording environment.
How to Submit
Please upload your audition recording to YouTube and submit the video link with your application.
Upload your audition video to YouTube.
Under Visibility, select Unlisted. Do not select Private.
Copy the link to your video and paste it into the Audition Video Link field below.
Before submitting your application, please test the link in a private or incognito browser window to confirm that it can be viewed without requesting access or signing in.
Important: Unlisted videos will not appear publicly on your YouTube channel or in YouTube search results, but anyone with the link will be able to view the recording.
