SUN, JANUARY 27: Frank Mathis, baritone & Jonathan DePeri, piano
PROGRAM: Franz Schubert “Winterreise” Song Cycle
One of the most extraordinary song cycles ever composed. Schubert’s Winterrise is astounding, poetic, beautiful and contrary to the commonly held belief that it’s merely a series of songs about a man’s journey through love found and lost, highly political.

PROGRAM: Beethoven Sonatas Op. 90 & Op. 110; Chopin Mazurka, Prelude, Waltzes & Ballades
Maryam Raya Kheirbek is internationally recognized for her dynamic stage presence and creative versatility. She gave her first public recital at the age of nine, and made her Carnegie Hall debut at the age of sixteen. Most recently on December 18, 2018, Ms. Kheirbek was a soloist in a concert celebrating the 125th anniversary of “Dvorak at Carnegie Hall”, at Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.

SUN, FEBRUARY 17: CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY MONTH!
PROGRAM: Works by Chevalier De Saint-George; “Lensky Aria” from the Opera Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky & “Oh, Cease Thy Singing Maiden Fair” by Rachmaninov; Songs by Harry T. Burleigh & African-American Spirituals.
Tenor, Everett Suttle is joined by pianist, Jonathan DePeri and violinist, Brenden Zak, to celebrate "Black History Month" with a wonderful performance of music by Afro-French composer Joseph Bologne—Chevalier de Saint-Georges; African-American singer, composer and arranger Harry Burleigh; and settings of poetry by Afro-Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

PROGRAM: Hear the history of Ireland told in poetry, song, and music. Niamh Ryan (actress), Scott Mooney (tenor), and Mia Theodoratus (harp) present verse, song, and harp repertoire telling of the joys and sorrows of the Irish people, from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. Songs include The Fields of Athenry, She Moved through the Fair, Danny Boy, and more. Poetry by William Yeats, Seamus Heaney, and others. Harp music by Turlough O'Carolan and as accompaniment to song.

SAT, APRIL 13, 2PM: Leonardo DaVinci--The Musician and Scientist: How Leonardo DaVinci's musical knowledge and skills informed, and was informed by his scientific inventions and knowledge of the natural world.
Part 1 of the two part symposium will provide an overview of Leonardo's early musical journey, his musical instrument design, and his use of other scientific domains to inform his acoustical experiments as grounded in the musical, intellectual, and scientific inquiry of the Sforza, Medici, and Este courts.

SAT, MAY 4, 2PM: Leonardo DaVinci--The Musician and Scientist
PROGRAM: Part 2 of this two part program will provide an in-depth analysis of Leonardo’s use of music harmonic proportions to construct form and signification in “The Last Supper” and to interpret performative meaning in his “Festa del Paradiso” enactment of the harmony of the spheres.
